Interviewer: Becky, what structure do you use for payment? What type of options do you have for your clients?
Becky Cholewka: I try to make it really easy for clients. Most all of my fees are on a flat fee basis, except for family law and probate issues generally, and those are because, in family law issues, I don’t have control over how the other party acts, or how many times we are going to have to go to court to solve the matter.
In all my other practice areas it’s typically a flat fee basis, because I want my clients to know upfront, ahead of time, what type of funds they’re going to have to come up with.
Especially in this economy, where everybody is really watching their dollar, I want to make sure that they have peace of mind when they go to bed, and know what that bill is going to be at the end of the day.
